The Boudoir Session with MKD Photography

As Kate already mentioned on her blog, I really "have been bitten by the Boudoir bug", there is no way for me to deny that :) Moreover, I've been bitten so bad, that I've decided to appear on the other side of the camera as well. So, here comes a heartfelt confession with some images attached :) This time I got all of my superpowers together for a great cause: in reality there is no better way of knowing what's best for our clients than going through exact same experience on our own. Well, the words are not enough to explain how fabulous I felt getting pampered by Kimberly Fosher (who did my make up), Deborah (who created lovely playful curls for me), and most importantly, Kate, who summed up everything with her talent making this experience simply unforgettable. She made me feel so relaxed, so comfortable, so in my zone...(trust me, I am a very bad model, I am!), and she provided me with the images a girl can only dream of. I am overjoyed & happy, what more can I say. If our clients go out the door feeling the way I felt that day, then our mission is complete.
So, ladies, get your guns ready, and let's get together for some boudoir! It is so important to feel feminine, sexy, and beautiful, let's remind ourselves again how superb we are. Someone once said that unattractive women do not exist, some women just don't know how beautiful they are...Future and past brides, wives, girlfriends and friends of friends, me and Kate will be joining our forces and welcoming you for Round II, so you better get ready! :)
If you want to surprise your loved one with some awesome images just in time for Valentine's Day, email me asap.
Huge thanks to Kate for everything, you are the best!!!

Maine Strobist Shoot

If you are a photographer, than you have probably heard of Strobist. If you are not a photographer, than this probably won't mean much to you, but don't leave just yet, as we have some cool images down below. Strobist is a site dedicated to off camera lighting and nothing else. In a short couple of years it has become the mecca of information about flash photography, so if you are interested in creative lighting head on over there and spend as much time there as possible :)

Anyhow, about a week ago we attended a photographers get together in Maine that was put together by our fellow strobisters (that sounds weird...) Mark, Andrew and Nate. Guys, thanks a ton for organizing such an awesome event. So, last Saturday morning me, Anna, Doug, James and Shyla rented a minivan and drove all the way to Topsham, ME for the event. I have heard several people say that they hadn't had that much fun in a long time and I would have to agree with that. It was wicked fun! Alsmost 30 photographers, a dozen models, professional make up artists, loads of awesome lighting gear...what else does a photographer need! :) Thanks to everyone who showed up and made this event a success! Can't wait for the next one. If you are interested in attending one of these in the future, make sure you check this site and check it periodically. Well, here are some images that I had a chance to edit, more to come in a couple of days.

LiFe.LoVe.Jesh De Rox!

I don't even know where to start, as I've got a boundless ocean of thoughts and fireworks of emotions.
I've been deeply moved, and I'll never be the same :)
Same goes for Tony, and I'm so glad that our unconditional love for life, for people, and for each other brought us to where we are now. Our mutual passion for what we do (photography) always keeps us on the same page. We are simply "shadows" of each other as we go through every single experience together, and we always... Ok, closer to the point :) Several days ago we had an absolutely incredible opportunity not only to be able to meet many wonderful photographers from different parts of the country, but also to model for 1 day for the coolest workshop ever - for life (as an art form) AN EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP by Jesh De Rox. Many-many thanks to our dear friend Brittany Blando for being a super hostess, for thinking and inviting us; we truly-truly appreciate it.
The words are not enough to describe the emotional experience we've got and an overall impact that this workshop had on us.
It was a whirlwind of something absolutely mystical and tremendously intimate...:) And we were there only for 1 day!
Tamara Lackey, a very gifted and exceptional photographer from North Carolina was a guest speaker and our shooter as well :)
Make sure to check her work, it is fabulous! I'm still all lost in my thoughts, so I leave you with these stunningly touching images by Tamara.
CLICK HERE FOR MORE, and remember, it's all about love :)

P.S. To each and everyone: it was such a pleasure meeting all of you, guys! Jesh, Tamara, Brittany, thank you one more time for letting us be a part of your day, for letting us stay after the shoot, for dinner and simply for being so super!

Playdate with the Feds!

On Saturday we have discovered a secret recipe...:) you take DiDi, Layla and Annabelle, add in hundreds of toys of all shapes, colors and sizes...and you get the most amazing play date ever! Our friends Kate and James Federico of The Feds Studio were scheduled to shoot an engagement session, but no baby sitter :( No problem! we said :) and a couple of hours later they brought their wonderful girls, Layla and Annabelle, to our place.
I was only brave enough to grab a few shots of them playing, their friendly peace was better undisturbed :) At first I was a little worried as to how would they communicate with DiDi (she only speaks Russian for now), but once they got here it became obvious that kids don't care what language you speak as long as there is a bunch of toys around to play with :)

What a nice welcome!

Layla is definitely having a good time

To all our future play dates - CHEERS :)

Rocking Like Rockstars!!!

Last Friday I attended The Rockstar Road Trip Seminar held by our new friends Corey McNabb and Amber Holritz. This seminar was hands down one of the best seminars/workshops I have attended and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg ;) These guys are truly amazing at what they do. Corey has shared some secrets about his packages and marketing strategies, while Amber shared he philosophy on lifestyle baby photography. Now, every time I get to play with my daughter, I have this urge to pick up the phone and book a session with Amber to capture our life as a family. I even got teary eyed during her speech when she showed a photo of a father kissing his daughter's hand. It was that amazing!

Amber - The queen of McBlog in action :)

Once we were done with the boring (just kidding) part, it was time to PARTY Rockstar style!

From right to left: Shyla, Enna, Fed and yours truly rocking it out!

I apologize in advance if the next (extremely graphic) image offends you in any way :)

March PUG

How does that saying go? "Better late than never", right? We are way behind on blogging here and we are very sorry for that. There is so much to blog about and so little time to actually do it :( Well, here are some photos that we took during last Boston PUG Meeting that was held at BU CDIA in Waltham.

There were over 70 people in attendance last month! Let's see if we can get more this month

PhotoPlus NYC

Couple of weeks ago we went to NYC for a PhotoPlus Convention that took place in Javits Center. We had a blast hanging out with Mike Blanchard (our neighbor and a very talented photographer)

Here is how I got there:

And here is Tony and Mike's ride:

So if you ever decide to ride your horse to NYC here is one of the parking spots that you could use :)
p.s. a nice wash is also included in the parking cost

Nice trio: Amos, Tony and Mike sporting their brand new Shootsacs

POST NO BILLS!!!

Mike shot a little "engagement" session for us on the way back

No, it's not what you think :)
For dinner we went to this tiny restaurant in Brooklyn that serves Uzbek food. Mike was so brave trying new food and Tony just couldn't be happier, because that is actually where he is from. Right before heading out we found an empty bottle of vodka under the table and here is a fun shot that Mike took of us.
