What Real Friendship Is Like...

It was a typical playdate, and I got so lucky to have my camera close by. I have thousands of images, but somehow these are so special and so close to my heart...they portray the essence of childhood, the real bond these girls have over toys and ice-cream, and most importantly, our daily life :) The day is never complete until an empty ice-cream wrapper is visible somewhere, and I know, it will be hard to believe, but our girl totally ignores toys. Presents she gets stay unwrapped for months until I transfer them to our storage room, but when it comes to ice-cream, she is unstoppable. She will come up with an amazing story on how great her dinner was that she ate it all, or how she was dreaming about "something cold on a stick"...So, to see her sharing her "most precious thing" (and she does it all the time) makes me feel great.

I think someone on the right wants something really bad :) Can you tell?

!!!

That is what you get for sharing - a sweet kiss

...and a super warm hug!

See, I told you, the day is not complete without something sweet on a stick :)

The Queen of Ice-Cream

If you want some, just ask! :)

Friends, big and small, if you ever have an urge for ice-cream, come over, our freezer has limitless amounts of it. Hooray for ice-cream! :)

Hola, Amigos!

Last week we happily traded cold snowy Boston for warm Mexican sun. The trip was somewhat spontaneous, and I am really glad everything worked out the way it did, because we enjoyed every minute of it. It's been a week since we got back, but I'm still drinking Margaritas, been to a Mexican restaurant, and can't stop dreaming about Cancun. I consciously refuse to go back to reality. I'm still in paradise, in spite of the snow everywhere these memories sure are keeping me cozy. Ohhhh....Cancun! We even picked up some basic Spanish, especially Kristina, whose friendliness and social skills did not surprise, as usual (you'll see the evidence below). The craziest thing ever happened when we went into the city and I got off the bus with a girl I went to school with (for 10 years!) back in Ukraine. We were on the same bus, and got off at the same stop, can you believe it?! Talk about perfect timing, and meeting in Mexico! Simply crazy...
Well, here is a little story in pictures, take a look, and imagine you were with us!

Our extremely confident pilot. Yeah, you better believe it, that is exactly how we got there!

I lost my touch with the reality right this minute. What a view!

Tony insisted on blogging this one :)

Every day there was a "do not disturb" minute (or two :)) when Kristina didn't want to be bothered. I think she really understood the meaning of the word "relax" :)
Actually, for the 1s time in her life she was begging for naps as she was getting so tired.

I made a new friend, she happened to be also from Ukraine, but now lives in the States.

Looks like Kristina made a new friend too. That's how she is with people she meets, and as you can see this amigo didn't mind at all :)

Henna tattoo

Kids pool was amazing, heated, with animals and slides all around

Singing at the airport prior to the departure

We will definitely go back there again, no doubts about that...

Boudoir Shoot Alert

WHEN: Sunday, February 1st

WHERE: XV Beacon, an absolutely fabulous Boston boutique hotel

YOU: feeling great about yourself with agenda of making some gorgeous images that will be for his eyes only...

ME: there to capture the essence of your femininity, beauty and personality…

If you are interested, drop me a line asap, as there are only 3 spots open.

The Boudoir Session with MKD Photography

As Kate already mentioned on her blog, I really "have been bitten by the Boudoir bug", there is no way for me to deny that :) Moreover, I've been bitten so bad, that I've decided to appear on the other side of the camera as well. So, here comes a heartfelt confession with some images attached :) This time I got all of my superpowers together for a great cause: in reality there is no better way of knowing what's best for our clients than going through exact same experience on our own. Well, the words are not enough to explain how fabulous I felt getting pampered by Kimberly Fosher (who did my make up), Deborah (who created lovely playful curls for me), and most importantly, Kate, who summed up everything with her talent making this experience simply unforgettable. She made me feel so relaxed, so comfortable, so in my zone...(trust me, I am a very bad model, I am!), and she provided me with the images a girl can only dream of. I am overjoyed & happy, what more can I say. If our clients go out the door feeling the way I felt that day, then our mission is complete.
So, ladies, get your guns ready, and let's get together for some boudoir! It is so important to feel feminine, sexy, and beautiful, let's remind ourselves again how superb we are. Someone once said that unattractive women do not exist, some women just don't know how beautiful they are...Future and past brides, wives, girlfriends and friends of friends, me and Kate will be joining our forces and welcoming you for Round II, so you better get ready! :)
If you want to surprise your loved one with some awesome images just in time for Valentine's Day, email me asap.
Huge thanks to Kate for everything, you are the best!!!

Imad+Aziza: Wedding Day!

The wedding season started out early for us this year, and we simply could not be happier about it. What a great way to step into 2009! The words are not enough to describe my excitement on that day. As many of you know, I am so in love with bright, vivid colors, that an Indian wedding for me is a day in a dreamland, in true paradise where everything is chic, festive, beyond believable, especially in the wintertime! I can't wait to share these images with all of you, so sit back and enjoy this wonderful story...

While getting visited by her girls Aziza is taking a peek at her makeup, which was done by Doug Howell, and was absolutely stunning.

I think I lived somewhere in India in my previous life, my admiration and love for this culture is not quite normal :)

Even the shoes sparkle!

We were all so fascinated my how calm Aziza was throughout the day. Perfectly happy, in perfect control, a perfect bride!

Final touches

You feeling the love, right..? :)

If someone would've asked me to describe what happiness is, what it looks and feels like, I would've simply showed this image. I think it says it all.

The images we adore and cherish the most are those that possess pure emotions, moments in time that cannot be intentionally repeated, they are one of a kind. Right then and there...
I have to say this moment below instantly got into my "absolute favorites" collection, and I guarantee it will stay there permanently.

Striking!

I could not stop myself from putting this picture up :) Aria, you stole my heart that night, you are only 6, yet so mature and gracious. I'm sure your mommy is so proud of you!

Mr&Mrs!!!

A real paparazzi scene, isn't it? I found it hilarious!

During Imad's best friend's toast. Thoughts and emotions.

...

HELP! The groom's shoes just got stolen!

Aziza's sister is saying her speech, which made me laugh&cry at the same time.

Grand exit of the married couple

Aziza&Imad! Thank you so much for allowing us document the most important day of your lives, for all the joy that we got to experience, for the love that we got to witness. And most importantly, for following us down the basement (or the lower level as they call it), as some very special images were created back there :) We can't wait to see what the future holds for you, and hope to stay connected and try getting together every time you come back to Boston.
Full wedding gallery is coming up very soon, so stay tuned.

And many many thanks to our one and only Doug Levy who joined our team for the day. It is always such a pleasure to shoot with you! We love you! (even though Tony refused to give you that cute hug near the stage, what can you do, he doesn't like to show his feelings in public)
