Boston Globe Travel Show

Last Sunday we decided to check out annual Boston Globe Travel show that was held at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. I must say that I was a little disappointed.
I agreed to go there after seeing colorful brochures that described the show as a must attend event with all kinds of fun activities. Well, the show did not live up to my expectations :( I am glad we brought our camera, otherwise me and Mike would be completely bored out of our minds, while Anna and her mother were shopping for a vacation package.

These were the highlights of the day: Some pirates walking around the trade show floor and a lemur from Busch Gardens that DiDi got to play with.

Even DiDi got bored 20 minutes after we got there.

If you follow our blog you must know this guy. Michael Blanchard is our good friend and a stellar photographer. We dragged Mike along with us thinking that the show is going to be interesting. Sorry Mike! Here is Mike about to fall asleep (did I say it was boring?)

DiDi and uncle Mikey :) Our daughter adores Mike beyond belief!

The GOOFY Team Yu!

We spotted this dancer on our way out. I think she was there promoting some Caribbean cruise.

Edit (by Anna): I don't know about you guys, but I had loads of fun! :)))

Reading? No, sleeping :)

I wanted to share this picture with you, guys.
Half of the time when I walk into the room where DiDi is busy reading books, I see this :)))
And it cracks me up! She won't let you stop until she continues watching the rest of the story in her dreams :)

John + Alison

What do we (wedding photographers) do to keep ourselves from getting "rusty" during the off-season??? We shoot weddings for other photographers. My dear friend, Paul Friedman, invited me to tag along with him for a fun wedding that was held in Butternut Farm Golf Club in Stow, Ma.
I was once again reminded how blessed we are to be doing what we absolutely love and how important our jobs are.
I don't think it is possible not to enjoy The Day when the couple is so sweet and so much in love.
Without any further adieu I give you John and Alison, that couple I just described in the previous sentence.

Check out the light!

Edit: Alison has the same dress that I wore to our wedding!!! What are the chances!? (Anna)

Dogs are DiDi's Best Friends!

I was just going through our old pictures and noticed that dogs are loved by DiDi all year round and somehow she is pictured with different dogs all the time, absolutely everywhere we go :) There is no escape for them - she starts chasing them as soon as they appear even far away on a horizon.
She knows how to be gentle, and she does it very well (of course, I run after her and stand by each time)

Fall. They are definitely loved by her, and yes, she gets plenty of love back :)

Couple of weeks ago. It was so cool, we all had a chance to play with this dog as its owner was very friendly and not in a rush. Thank you!

Here she is, relaxing. The greatest dog chaser of all times :)

And this is me, captured by sneaky Mr. Yu :)

Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see what the spring brings.
I'm sure that there are more dogs around here that we haven't met yet, and they will be getting lots of love real soon!

A Suitcase With A Secret...

For some reason we haven't blogged about DiDi for quite a while, but if you wonder where she is and what she has been up to - here is a little photo story :)

I think she desperately wants to go on vacation :) Just like me

Alex+Polina

This wedding was a very special one for us for many reasons.
Tony considers Alex to be his best friend, even though they see each other only once a year if not less than that. It is that sort of friendship where you know that no matter how far away they are from each other and no matter what happens, they can count on each other. They met long time ago in Greensboro NC, where they both attended UNCG. It is a long story on how they met, but in short, Alex was Tony's first friend in the USA. Life has spread them apart hundreds of miles away, forcing them to lead very different lives. But nevertheless they have kept their friendship alive. In December of last year, Tony got a call from Alex and was asked to be his best man and the rest is history.
Alex and Polina,
We wish you a lifetime of happiness, an ocean of smiles and a world filled with joy and laughter on this journey of life together as a husband and wife!

Much Love,
Team Yu
